If you have not seen or heard, PBS had aired a show called "Cell Tower Deaths" that investigates working conditions in the Telecommunications Industry. This is very pertinent information for anyone who works at height. Follow the link to watch and for other useful resources

Hey All, Looks like the Industrial Rope Access Association of New Zealand and the NZ Department of Labour collaborated on a new best practices document for rope access work. Some light reading at 81 pages...Always good to see what other countries and r.a. organizations are doing

A few weeks back I was doing some training on bridge access. The one guy I was with stated that he would lead climb and setup the lines for me to follow and clean. I asked him why not just set the lines from the ground with the slings. So I showed him what I ment by that. I got my throw ball out (with a throw cord attached) got it to where we wanted to be, attached the sling to it with the rope running through the sling then sent it up. About five mins later sling with line…
